As I said on my phone message, I missed you at the end of yesterday’s
proceedings, and so couldn’t tell you then how very much I appreciated what
you did for us. Thank you so much. You did a great job, and all the family
were very pleased with you, and with me for finding you.
I apologise for not discussing payment with you, and I am very grateful for,
and not a little embarrassed by, your kind offer of a discount. We would be
very happy to pay your standard fee, but would accept with gratitude your
kindness if you insist.
You could send the invoice to me, though I suppose the formal wording would
be to “The Estate of Dr J M Gardiner (deceased)”, c/o me (address below).
Once again, many thanks, for your kind words and for your good work, and I
look forward to catching up again on a less stressful occasion.
